RSS


维基百科,自由的百科全书



RSS是一种用于网上新闻频道博客weblogs)和其他Web内容的数据交换规范,起源于網景通訊公司(Netscape)的推技术(push technology),將訂戶訂閱的內容傳送給他們的通訊協同格式(Protocol)。RSS可以是以下三個解釋的其中一個:



  • Really Simple Syndication(RSS 2.0)

  • RDF (Resource Description Framework) Site Summary(RSS 0.91, RSS 1.0)

  • Rich Site Summary (RSS 0.9 and 1.0)



但其實這三個解釋都是指同一種企業聯合組織(Syndication)的技術。



目前RSS规范的主要版本有0.91、1.0和2.0。



0.91版和1.0版完全不同,风格不同,制定标准的人也不同。0.91版和2.0版一脉相承。1.0版更靠拢XML标准。現時世界多数知名新闻社网站都提供RSS订阅支持。

RSS讓網站能夠製造內容摘要,並讓用戶以不同的方式瀏覽這些摘要。



如果没有RSS,用户可能需要每天去登陆某个网站(如雅虎)去浏览已更新的新闻,这可能是一件非常浪费时间的事情。目前已经有很多网站向用户提供了
免费的RSS饋送(RSS
feed)。那么,用户就不必每天登陆到该网站检查更新的新闻,他们只需要下载一个RSS阅读器,然后将他感兴趣的网站提供的新闻RSS饋送添加到这个阅
读器,在本地电脑上运行阅读器就可以查看到新闻的更新内容。
